Real scores obtained at the Baccalaureate by the presidential candidate

Nicușor Dan and George Simion were invited to the debate at Digi24 this evening. Only the Mayor of Bucharest showed up, while Simion did not.
Dan brought his Baccalaureate diploma to dispel the fake news circulated by Marcel Pușcaș.

The controversy began when former footballer Marcel Pușcaș published a fake Baccalaureate diploma belonging to Nicușor Dan on social media, created using artificial intelligence.

Nicușor Dan arrived with his Baccalaureate diploma. What grades did the Mayor of Bucharest receive?
To put an end to all the false speculations circulating online, the Mayor of the Capital, an independent candidate in the presidential elections, attended the debate tonight with his Baccalaureate diploma.

“Allow me to show you my Baccalaureate diploma, because a fake has been circulating on social media for a few days. Here is my Baccalaureate diploma,” said Nicușor Dan, showing the document to the cameras, according to g4media.ro.

Grades obtained by Nicușor Dan at the Baccalaureate:

Romanian Language and Literature – 9.50
Mathematics – 10
Physics – 10
Practical Exam – 10
Overall Average – 9.87
Explanations from user “eematis” on Reddit about Pușcaș’s fake diploma:
“To avoid confusion, it must be stated that it is false:

Historically, the photo with the graduate’s details is on the front of the diploma. The exam results are on the back.

The subject must be specified exactly. Not like this: ‘Foreign Language’.

The graphical details are contemporary. A background like that would have been difficult to produce in printing shops. Additionally, the fine lines resembling a table did not belong to that era. The photo was typically attached by gluing. In most cases, the photo size never matched perfectly with the printed frame on the diploma.

The image of the diploma is too clear, as if it was scanned immediately after being issued by the high school (impossible considering that document scanners did not exist then). I don’t believe ND shared his Baccalaureate diploma image with anyone.

The text was usually handwritten or typed on a typewriter, as diplomas came “blank,” making it nearly impossible to print unique copies without benefiting from modern printing techniques.
Inconsistencies in punctuation marks, as if the image was generated by AI.”
