Ce a declarat George Simion înainte de a părăsi dezbaterea electorală de la Palatul Cotroceni

Must Read

George Simion, the AUR candidate for the presidential elections, exited the electoral debate held at the Cotroceni Palace, citing „respect for the will of the Romanians” and criticizing the campaign’s conduct. He arrived with a bouquet of flowers for Elena Lasconi, whom he referred to as „the only candidate truly voted by the people,” and declared that he would not participate in the discussions.

Simion left the first electoral debate at the Cotroceni Palace, “out of respect for the individual who should have been here and the person chosen by the Romanian people.”

He made his entrance at the debate organized by Digi 24 armed with a bouquet for his rival, Elena Lasconi.

“Among all the candidates present, she is the only one who has genuinely been voted by the Romanians and should have faced Mr. Călin Georgescu in the final confrontation,” Simion stated.

He then announced his departure from the debate.

“What occurred is not normal, and the way democracy was trampled and how this electoral campaign unfolded led me to decide that, out of respect for democracy and the people’s voice, I cannot endorse this electoral debate. Additionally, in honor of the person expected to be here, whom the Romanians chose, I will remain in the country this week. Thank you and I wish you success,” Simion concluded before leaving the debate.

Independent candidate Victor Ponta is also not participating in the debate.
